Chief Othniel O’Connor published his first book about the USVS, titled Vikings, Vampires, and Mailmen, in December of 2011.  The book is his perspective of a significant vampire outbreak in Wolf Bay, Alabama in 2005.

The book explores some of the  mythology of vampires, and addresses key religious and historical aspects of the phenomenon.  Written in Chief O’Connor’s gritty and sometimes crass style, the book reads equal parts military thriller and heroic memoir.
